Flames of revolt now lighting their pyres.
Revolt! Resist! Reclaim!
Finding, that hope that was lost,
Pushing forward full well knowing the cost,
We take bread, we take dignity,
We are not those who started this hostility,
Oppressor, you know all your crimes,
When I kill you, the two of us will die,
Shadow, of my former self,
Cast off as we seize all of your wealth.

Coarsing their way into my veins,
My despair stains like black honey,
A steady slow leak of pain.
Tear out my mind,
Suffocation, suffocating,
The relief of this release,
After constant constraint.
A light of hope flickers,
It's flame grows and recedes,
Whether I continue on,
or lay my weary bones to sleep.
Hope lifts my heavy heart,
Sorrow drags me back down,
I am left suspended here,
All alone with a black hound.
I don't know if I will see,
A world with a place for me,
A soul carrying the weight,
Of both hope and grief.
